The Country Riding Shop was established in 1963...
We're 40 Years Old!!!
The Shop was conceived by Eleanor Stanton. A mother, with two horse loving daughters showing on
a budget, she felt there was a need for a tack shop that didn't treat everyone like "money grew on trees".
She also came from a family of horsemen, and married one as well. Her family was involved in showing,
hunting, racing, breeding, boarding and transporting horses. It gave her a broad background from which
she drew to help her customers. Service, friendly advise and "the golden rule" were her credence with her customers.
After her death in 1990, the Shop was taken over by her eldest daughter, Debbie. She brings to the business
a long and successful horseshow career and also is presently a riding instructor at a local private school.
Today the Shop has expanded in size and inventory. We still place customer satisfaction and fair pricing
ahead of all else.
Today, there is a constant stream of old customer's children and grandchildren coming through our doors.
They are all happy that although the Shop has physically changed, our dedication to our customers has not.
